Why Equazen®?

What makes Equazen® different?

Equazen® is a targeted fatty-acid formula designed to help support the nutritional balance that many modern diets don’t consistently provide — particularly the essential fatty acids important for the brain.

These nutrients play a role in brain development and function, including areas related to focus, learning and behaviour.

Equazen provides a specific combination of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in a carefully researched ratio, designed to support this balance.

Unique 9:3:1 Fatty Acid Balance

Equazen combines omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) with the omega-6 fatty acid GLA in a specific 9:3:1 ratio. This scientifically researched balance reflects how essential fatty acids work together as a system rather than individually.

By combining EPA, DHA and GLA, Equazen supports overall fatty-acid balance in the diet. The formulation has been investigated in more than 15 studies* over the past 20 years, exploring its role in cognitive development, behaviour and attention.

Simple, clean composition

Equazen focuses on purity and simplicity.

It contains:

  • no artificial colours or flavours
  • no preservatives
  • no microelements

The formula is gluten-free and includes natural vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol) as an antioxidant.

Carefully sourced ingredients

Equazen is made from oils derived from small fatty fish such as anchovy, sardine and mackerel, combined with plant-based oils such as evening primrose.

These ingredients provide high-quality omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in their natural triglyceride form, with a strong focus on purity and consistent quality.

The optimal combination used in Equazen®

Equazen® was developed after years of research to provide a balanced combination of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) and the omega-6 fatty acid GLA.

This formulation — known as the Equabalance ratio (EPA:DHA:GLA 9:3:1) — combines fish oil and evening primrose oil in a carefully researched balance.
